And Now for a Little Humor...

As we get ready to head out for the long Labor Day weekend, our official/unofficial end of summer, I thought I'd leave you with some smiles.  Those of you that don't write a food blog might not realize some of the difficulties involved in attempting to take professional quality photos.  We have to worry about lighting, composition, cropping, whiskers.  Wait...what?!

And Now for a Little Humor...
This beautiful creature is Hadley, also known as the chicken thief.  It's her favorite food and, if it's there and you're not looking, it won't be there for long.

And Now for a Little Humor...
She's also quite fond of biscuits, and peanut butter, and biscuits flavored with peanut butter and has been known to help herself to those as well.  She already knows that nothing really bad is going to happen to her when she does it and I blame Brian for this lack of discipline.

And Now for a Little Humor...
Then there's the fact that she's used to lots of attention and...ahem...I might be a tad responsible for that.  So, if I'm concentrating too long on getting a shot, she might decide to investigate why she's no longer the center of attention.

I wondered if other food bloggers have the same problems and so I reached out to some of them.  As it turns out, they were all too familiar with this photobombing situation.  So, here are a few members of the tails and whiskers crowd making their moms' photography a bit more tricky and their lives a lot more fun. Have a great holiday weekend!

  7. I had to come and read this post right away when I saw that it was about photo bombing pets. Hilarious! My favourite is the one of Hadley staring right into the camera lens. Her expression is killing me! I can't take photos of food while Abby's around. She'll inevitably run over and start eating it. Or she'll try humping my leg because I'm ignoring her. TGIF, Anita! Have a fabulous long weekend.

  9. Omg those are priceless. Julie's had me on the floor laughing. Priceless. I wish my life wasn't chaos this week so I could have contributed. I must have dozens where pet hair shows up. I'm sure I have some with noses and paws in the picture. Great post Anita, I just love this.
