Apple Gin Fizz

Apple Gin Fizz

Is that a nip I feel in the air? OK, by nip I mean the temperature has dropped from the upper 80's to the low 80's this week. Yes, New York's summer is holding on but I hear good things about temperatures dipping into the frigid 70's by next week! And just in time for the first day of fall. Let's celebrate!

Despite the temperature, I have started seeing pumpkins on display at the market and, of course, apple season is in full swing. Snacking, pie making and, of course, drink making. Apples make great cocktails. To make room for the pie, I kept this drink light with unsweetened apple juice and Sweet N Low.

No need to worry about the sweetener dissolving in the cold liquid since I've been making skinny syrup and keeping a bottle of it handy in my refrigerator. This zero calorie sweetener lets me control the amount of sweetness without adding any extra calories. Around here that usually translates to being able to have two. Cheers!
