Vanilla Cream Cocktail

Vanilla Cream Cocktail

I've always been a vanilla girl.  No, not in a boring, plain, run-of-the-mill sort of way.  Vanilla is nothing like that.  It's exotic and fragrant and adds a marvelous flavor to almost everything.  I'll always choose the vanilla-flavored whatever it is.  Now add that to the creamy, coffee flavor of Kahlúa and I'm an instant fan.

Vanilla Cream Cocktail
Know what else goes with those flavors?  Caramel sauce.  Then, add another layer of wonderful vanilla with a bit of vanilla bean ice cream and I'm in cocktail heaven.  Cheers!

Per Serving:
1 oz. Kahlúa French Vanilla
1 1/2 oz. Rum
1 oz. Half and half or cream
2 oz. Vanilla ice cream
1/2 oz. Caramel sauce

Vanilla Cream Cocktail
Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.  Fill with ice, shake well and pour into a chilled cocktail glass.  If you like, dip the edges of the glass in a bit of caramel sauce before filling with the cocktail.
