Valentine's Day Recipe Round-Up

How will you be celebrating Valentine's Day tomorrow? Is there someone special for whom you will bake treats while they shop for roses and chocolates? Or maybe your special Valentine is your mom or dad, son or daughter. Maybe you'll be baking those special treats for colleagues, seniors or soldiers. Whatever the case, here are some yummy ideas from my kitchen.

And speaking of my kitchen, my own Valentine travels during the week so we will likely celebrate on the weekend. I know he will buy me my favorite chocolates. And I will cook him his favorite meal. I'm grateful every day for the love in my life but it's fun to have a special occasion to celebrate it. So, whatever your plans, have a very happy Valentine's Day filled with love!

  1. At first I was going say I want to try that Sweetheart Martini but then I was like I want to try all of these!! These all look SO delicious! The Cherry Brownie Trifle looks phenomenal. Kind of sad I don't have one of those to eat right now! :)

  8. Anita, thank you for your kind comments in the last month and your sweet and comforting words have meant so much to me.

Your Valentine line-up is 'out of this world' amazing!
Think I'll start the day with the chocolate chip scones, and work my way down with the cherry brown trifle, and later have the awesome heart shaped parmesan crackers...and of course the creamy dreamy chocolate martini!...not too shabby; just super divine. Love the photo of your sweet pup, and hubby. You are sure loved by both...and all! xoxo

  11. Hi There,

This is your bestie writing. I wanted to add one point about the veal stock that I thought of this morning. It is LOW calorie. It's all vegetables. You do not add any oil or butter, and the recipe calls for draining the fat if necessary, which isn't usually if you are using veal bones (you can use beef bones). Except for a small amount of flour, you are home free. The only fattening part of this is what you add to the stock to make your sauce.

  12. My favorite dog, the one I want above all others is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. I had bought a beautiful cute dog from large dog breeds list .just kidding - but what a cool name for a dog breed. What I really want is a big luscious red Bull Mastiff or a Dogue de Bordeaux - they have the cutest puppies and love big fat cuddles. Looking for large dog breeds for families Wondering what large dog breeds are good with kids or would be good for apartments Find out here A complete list of large dog breeds
