Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Over the years I've been known to throw my share of Halloween parties where everything was cobwebbed, punch bowls bubbled and skeletons popped out of closets (HA!). But the truth is that I'm not that much of a scary Halloween fan. I'm more a cute, decorative and pumpkin kind of Halloween fan. Besides, those of you that know I live in New York and just endured the wrath of Hurricane Sandy can understand that we've had enough scariness for a while.

But, whether you're celebrating scary or cute, here is a round up of my favorite pumpkin recipes. Most are sweet but there is also savory and a few are even in liquid form. The latter is particularly good for getting over fright! Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!

  2. Anita, This is a fantastic roundup of your seasonal works. I remember the delicious risotto for two from a couple of years back, but the parade of captivating beverages has me thirsty for more. My children are morphing from cutesy costumes to creepy this year...times and transitions. Good to know you triumphed the storm. May you and yours have a Happy Halloween!

  13. I love this Halloween food ideas. I think all this stuff would be great for a party during the fall. My wife usually likes to cook stuff like this for our Halloween party. She also likes to start decorating early to get us all in the Halloween spirit. My kids also enjoy helping her because they like scary characters and stuff. With Halloween soon approaching we have been planning to visit some scary attractions. We have always liked Haunted Hayrides in NJ because they are scary and have the best actors.
