Mangoes are definitely one of my summer treats and they're usually destined for a yogurt smoothie. Although some of them invariably end up in cocktails as well.
Lassis are the Indian smoothies that blend yogurt, fruit and spices. Mango is a popular version and definitely so in my house along with a good hit of cinnamon. Since we've been having a heatwave, I wanted something extra cold so decided to blend it up with ice for a frozen version. You don't have to add rum but, hey, it's fun. Cheers!

Spiked Frozen Mango Lassi

Recipe for a frozen yogurt and mango beverage spiked with rum.
Ingredients:
- 2 Mangoes, peeled and pitted
- 1 Cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 Cup milk
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 1/2 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- 4 oz. Rum
- Ice
- Mint for garnish
Instructions:
- Add the mangoes, Greek yogurt, milk, honey, ground cinnamon, salt and rum to a blender. Fill with ice and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and place in the freezer for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
