Mango Madness Martini

Mango Madness Martini

TGIF!  I'm particularly happy to see Friday this week. Such a busy few days with so many annoyances and errands and running around. And, to make matters worse, my running is more like hobbling as I struggle with an injured ankle. Ouch. But, Brian and I do have some fun Saturday night plans so I think I'll spend today resting my ankle and maybe sipping on our latest favorite cocktail.

Mango Madness Martini
I was so happy last week when I saw that the sweet yellow mangoes were back at the market. Hello healthy mango smoothies! Mangoes also bring to mind the wonderful cocktail we discovered last year when we went out to celebrate our anniversary. We thought that packed a good mango punch but Brian decided to raise the bar and brought home a bottle of Pinnacle mango vodka.  Yum. We played around with it and created this fantastic double mango cocktail that goes down so easily. Maybe a little too easily, if you get my drift. :) Cheers!

Per Serving:
1 1/2 oz. Mango vodka
2 oz. Mango juice
1/2 oz. Lemon juice
1/2 oz. Simple syrup
1/2 oz. St. Germaine elderflower liqueur

Mango Madness Martini
Add the mango vodka, mango juice, lemon juice, simple syrup and elderflower liqueur to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, shake well and pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a wedge of lemon, if desired.

  1. I had a Mangorita for the first time the other day. It was delicious! I'm sure this is also.

  4. Mmm...mangoes...martinis...you're speaking my language today, Anita! Raise a glass or pitcher or two for me! Rest up that ankle, lay back, and have a few more drinks.

  8. Wonderful summer beverage! You must have an incredible liquor cabinet. I can only imagine how much fun you have mixing up new concoctions. Nice that you incorporate seasonal fruits too.

  9. I will have to make these for the kids - they LOVE mango! I just red that and it sounds really awful, doesn't it? Unless you know our kids are ages 24, 27, and 32. We make Mango margaritas all the time. One of the boys was asking he his dad could make a martini out of it and he said no, but now he can with YOUR recipe! Thanks!

  12. Oh how I wish I lived next door!! I'm still down with this nasty cold and I could do with a dose of mango vitamin C. The vodka might help too...
