Every January I include eating a better breakfast (sometimes translated as any breakfast) to my list of New Year's goals. I do use the term goals instead of resolutions. Somehow, the word resolution makes me feel like one mistake and I've trashed the whole year. A goal is something to be worked towards which means I'm still allowed to finish the last of the Christmas cookies even after January 1st.

But let's get back to breakfast. I'm not exactly up at the crack of dawn, ready to cook an elaborate meal. It's actually a good day if I've managed to pour the cereal into an actual bowl and found a spoon. Extra points if I poured milk into it. But I'm getting better!

I've definitely been a Cheerios fan since it's a good balance of nutrition and flavor so I'm always down for trying a new Cheerios variety. And I had a chance to sample the new Cheerios™ Oat Crunch Oats 'N Honey which is getting a thumbs up.

It's oaty and crunchy and perfectly sweetened with honey. I even liked the way it stood up to milk which makes me more likely to actually pour some into the bowl. And I already know the secret to my functioning well until lunch is to pair cereal with fruit and yogurt. Still quick, still easy and totally delicious.

Click here to find the new Cheerios™ Oat Crunch Oats 'N Honey cereal at Walmart, in store and online. Give it a try and tell me if you like it as much as I do.
