Keeping My Resolutions with Lean Cuisine

Keeping My Resolutions with Lean Cuisine

As you all know, I've been trying to lose a little holiday weight gain lately. I'm not exactly sure how much I gained because I threw out that evil, lying scale! But let's just say that I'm thinking stretchy pants shouldn't feel that tight. So, we're eating lighter these days and choosing more salads and less desserts.

Keeping My Resolutions with Lean Cuisine
We're not really fast food or take-out people anyway but when you get home late, tired and hungry it can be so easy to eat something unhealthy rather than take the time to cook. So, when the folks at Lean Cuisine asked me to review their new Chef's Pick line of products, it seemed like perfect timing.

I chose the lemon chicken which is lightly breaded white meat chicken in a sweet lemon sauce with broccoli, red peppers and oregano white rice. And the best part - only 280 calories! I followed the microwave instructions and they were spot on. So within just a few minutes, I had a light and tasty dinner. The chicken was remarkably tender and the sauce was complex and very flavorful. And with so few calories, I had enough leeway to add a generous salad and still stay on track with my healthy eating.

I have partnered with Lean Cuisine through DailyBuzz Food to help promote their new line of Chef's Pick products. I have been compensated for my time commitment to work with this product. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments. Thank you Lean Cuisine!

  1. I really began to appreciate frozen meals when I got pregnant. I didn't want to cook at all! This looks yummy, my friend!

  5. I love this idea! And since I think you have a very sophisticated palate, I'm going to take your word for it and try some. I don't know about your work place but in ours, about 11 AM everyday there is this very distinct smell coming from the break room from the 10 Lean Cuisine dinners all the ladies are cooking. 280 calories would fit into the very limited amount of calories I must restrict myself to once again in February. And I love lemon chicken! Thanks!

  7. My coworker has been raving out this line of Lean Cuisine. We're both Weight Watchers fans and they have the points for their meals calculated. It's very helpful. They have decent portion sizes too. Keep up the good work! My husband and I have lost a few pounds ourselves in the past few months. We both feel much better. :)

  8. Very nice review. I'm a bit hesitant about prepackaged meals as well, but will give this a try.
