Raspberry Sorbet-tini
When cocktail recipes call for flavored liqueurs I typically reach for the actual fruit and make my own puree. In the summer, however, I might reach for sorbet. Frozen cocktails, while refreshing, can be heavy and filling whereas a touch of fruit flavored sorbet can do wonders for a drink.
In this case, I discovered a delicious raspberry sorbet that added the sweetness, richness and even a little tang to a simple summer cocktail. This one is quick to make and refreshing to sip. Cheers!
Per Serving:
2 oz. Vodka
2 oz. Raspberry sorbet
1/2 oz. Lemon juice
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake well. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a wedge of lemon.
I made a coconut sorbet the other day. I'm wondering if I could change this up a bit and use that. Oh em gee. Drunk Jen!!
