Continuing our month long obsession with all things peach, today we present this rich, creamy, velvety, decadent...oh, wait...it only tastes like it's those things. In reality, it's skinny, healthy and amazingly refreshing. Made with fresh fruit, fat free yogurt and low fat milk, this smoothie is a serious energy boost and vitamin powerhouse.
So what's the secret to making it seem rich and creamy and forbidden? Greek style yogurt is thicker than regular yogurt and has a velvety texture. And freezing the banana gives the smoothie its body without diluting it with ice. A touch of mint for that little extra something and you'll think you're indulging in a rare treat. Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 Peach, pitted
1 Banana, frozen
1/2 Cup plain fat free Greek style yogurt
1/2 Cup low fat milk
4 Mint leaves
1 Tablespoon simple syrup or other sweetener
Dash of salt
A great combination of 2 great fruit!
