Chocolate Fluffernutter Martini

Recipe for a vodka cocktail flavored with marshmallow, chocolate and peanut butter.

Did you grow up with fluffernutter sandwiches? Do you still sometimes make one for yourself? Come on, tell the truth. It's overly sweet, way too sticky and...we still love them.

Recipe for a vodka cocktail flavored with marshmallow, chocolate and peanut butter.

My obsession with peanut butter is still running high but I don't usually have a jar of fluff in the house unless there was a batch of whoopie pies being made. So, you guessed it - there was a recent batch of gingerbread whoopie pies around here and a leftover jar of fluff. Plenty for both a nostalgic sandwich and something for a more adult palate. Vodka definitely helps cut down the sweetness, as does the milk and coffee liqueur. What's left is a great cocktail and your choice of how much to lick off the rim with each sip. My rim may or may not have been completely naked by the time I was done. Cheers!

For the Cocktail:
  • 4 oz. Marshmallow vodka
  • 3 oz. Whole milk
  • 1 oz. Chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz. Coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz. Peanut butter syrup
  • 3 Tablespoons marshmallow fluff for rimming

Instructions:

  1. To make the syrup, add the sugar and water to a heavy bottom pot and cook on low heat for a couple of minutes, just until the sugar dissolves. 4. Add the marshmallow vodka, milk, chocolate liqueur, coffee liqueur and peanut butter syrup to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, shake well and pour into the prepared glass.
